Limestone Lady Rockets Vs. Pekin Lady Dragons
January  14, 2020

Not every team can rally from a 10 point halftime deficit to win by seven except maybe the Pekin Lady Dragons, who traveled to Bartonville for a Mid-Illini conference match-up with the Limestone Lady Rockets on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.

Down 18-28 at the break after the Rockets put up 21 in the second, the Dragons worked their way back for the 43-36 win.  Taylor Goss lead the Dragons with14, ten in the third, and  Gracie Kizer (20), in the photo at the left, had seven in the first and 10 for the game.

In the photo at the right, Jenna Taphorn (10) scrambles for a rebound with Limestone's Bira Wessel (35, left) and Karsen White (22, right) Elly Bentley lead the Rocket's scoring with 15.

Morton Lady Potters Vs. Champaign Central Maroons
 November 30, 2019

The Lady Potters ran the table in the Morton Thanksgiving Tournament with victories over the Batavia Bulldogs, East St. Louis Flyerettes and Champaign Central Maroons, setting up showdown with the Richwoods Lady Knights in a re-match of last year's tournament final that resulted in a loss to Richwoods. And if that wasn't enough Thanksgiving Madness, the Potters hosted Normal Community on the following Tuesday, December 3rd, and made it a perfect 5-0 start to their season.

In the above photos from the Champaign Central game, Lindsey Dullard (23), in the photo on the right, drives the lane on her way to two of her 23 team leading points that included 9 from outside the arc and 4 for 4 from the line.  Raquel Frakes (10), in the photo on the left, puts up two of her seven points in the 61-52 win over the Maroons.  Click on the photos for a larger view.

Morton opens up conference play at Canton (1-3) on December 6th.  It may be worth noting that the Lady Potters ended Canton's season last year with a win over the Little Giants in the sectional semifinal game.  Click HERE to see all game photos.
